How To Choose The Perfect Wedding Gift?

How to choose the perfect wedding gift?

If you were invited to a long-awaited wedding by your close relatives or the friends then certainly it would be desirable not simply to present some kitchen combine or to hand over money in an envelope but to present a gift unusual and remembered. However, in spite of the fact that today in each Internet shop there is a section devoted to wedding gifts the most part of souvenir production, unfortunately, is the same and after all it would be desirable to present something original.

How to choose an ideal wedding gift? First, whenever it is possible it is necessary to consult with your friends and relatives to distribute among themselves the gifts intended for the groom and the bride that a newly-married couple has not received three coffee makers and four tea services.

Secondly, while selecting a wedding gift it is necessary to consider trades, wishes and a hobby of the groom and the bride instead of to choose all on itself. For example, you the inveterate fisher, therefore consider that a fishing tackle for five hundred dollars is the best that it is possible to present on wedding while the groom takes a great interest in chess or tennis. It is easy to guess that the fishing tackles will be getting dusty in a case or will be given away to the nearest friend or relatives. Besides, it is desirable that the wedding gift was equally useful both to the groom and the bride.

Quick Tips For a Successful Baby Shower

Here are quick shower tips for hosting a successful shower party:

Send invitations in a timely manner. Around 3-4 weeks in advance to the guests who live near by. For long distance shower guests, around 4-6 weeks in advance. Include directions in the invitations, you don’t want the shower guests to get lost.

Greet all shower guests at the door as they arrive. It shows how much you care for them. Provide name tags so that everybody can identify the other guests easily, as they may not all know each other. Introduce the shower guests to one another at the beginning of the shower party. If you have a seating arrangement, sit people together who know each other or have something in common.

Engage the shower guests in some games so that they can enjoy their time and interact with each other.
If you have proper space and have a large hall then provide tables for your guests to sit and eat if a meal is planned. Please don’t expect them to eat with their plate in their lap.

Instead of placing gifts here and there, it is appreciated to bring the gifts to the mom-to-be as she opens gifts. Don’t ask or even expect her to carry anything, especially bulky items (before and after the pregnancy). Because the time of the shower is around 1-2 months before or after, she is likely to feel weak during this time. Write down which shower guest gave which gift. This will help the mom-to-be when it comes time to send thank you cards.

Be sure to have enough shower party favors on hand. A little extra is good just in case! Get the party started on time and keep events moving at a good pace. You would be surprised just how long it can take to eat, open presents, play games, talk and eat cake. Walk guests to the door as they leave and thank them again for coming to the shower. Everybody feels special if they are given due attention.

You should also realize that you will be having a new life after your marriage. To this end you will need some cash. It will not be a good idea to be in debt when you start your new life.

In fact, there are a lot of ways for you to spend less on your wedding. You will need to consider various issues in order to do so. You will need to keep your budget in mind when you are planning for your wedding. You will be able to save money if you can really do so.

In order to save money, the first thing you need to consider is your wedding date. If it is possible, you should not be planning for an event on Saturdays. This is because the rent of the venue can be more expensive. In fact, other services can also be more expensive on Saturdays. It will be a lot better for you to have your big day on weekdays such as Thursday. As a matter of fact, having it on Fridays can also be an expensive choice. Yet, it is very important for you to think about your guests when you are making your decision on wedding day. Though you would like to save more money, you will still need to make sure that your guests will be available. They can be extremely busy on weekdays.

There are also a lot of ways for you to save money on your wedding dress. The first one is that you should not go for the idea of purchasing a new wedding dress. You may want to rent one if you would like to save money. If you really want to purchase one, you can try to see if there are some discount items in the bridal shops. Purchasing a second hand wedding dress can also be a good idea. Yet, the best situation will be that you can wear the gown your mother wore when she got married. This will make the dress or gown more meaningful and at the same time you will be able to save money.

When your wedding invitation is concerned, you can of course trying to see if there are some discount items. Yet this is not the only way for you to save more. You should not go for some very sophisticated design. If it is possible, you will need to adapt the idea of DIY. You do not need to spend a lot if you can create the invitation card yourself.

You should also think about your reception. In most cases, a barbeque reception on the beach will be less expensive. If you do not mind having an informal wedding, a beach wedding can just be perfect to this end.

Attractive Personalized Wedding Gifts

If you are looking for a unique and attractive wedding present for that special couple, nothing is quite as unique as a personalized wedding gift. Help the happy couple celebrate their new life together with a gift bearing their name. There are so many alternatives available that you can be certain to give a one-of-a-kind wedding.

Personalized Wedding Gifts for the Home
Decorating a first home is always a fun challenge for the new bride and groom. When choosing a personalized wedding gift, be sure to take the happy couple’s taste and preferences into account. Certain gifts, such wall hangings, wall clocks, canvas hangings, and personalized wedding mementoes, can fit into nearly any décor, and can serve as the perfect wedding gift for the new couple.
Surprise the new pair with a beautiful engraved glass wedding frame to display one of their favorite wedding or engagement pictures. Welcome them to their new home with a stunning double-sided table frame that displays their favorite wedding quote on one side and a photo from their special day on the other. If you are familiar with the decorating taste of the bride and groom, you can choose a frame that suits the style of their home so that your gift can become a permanent part of their everyday lives.
Take the wedding picture frame to the next level with a unique collage frame specifically designed to hold honeymoon photos. A Honeymoon Photo Collage Frame can beautifully accent any home while reminding the couple of their first time together as a unit. While any collage frame can display honeymoon photos, choose one that can constantly remind them of their wonderful first vacation together. A frame fitted with a die-cut mat spelling out the letters “HONEYMOON” gives ample space for displaying nine treasured photos from their trip.

Personalized Novelty Wedding Gifts
Of course, not every wedding gift has to be formal, or even useful. Sometimes fun and hysterically personalized wedding gifts are the best and most memorable. If the bride and groom have decided to change their names, give them each a t-shirt imprinted with Mr. and Mrs. “last names” in calligraphic script so that they don’t forget their new family name. Deck the couple out in matching “I’m the Bride” and “I’m the Groom” t-shirts and baseball caps to wear on their honeymoon.
A personalized wedding gift is a very special way of acknowledging your friends’ or families’ new journey towards a life of love and true happiness. Don’t be caught giving an impersonal set of pots or glassware. Choose a unique personalized gift that will be treasured and displayed forever.

Why Kitchen Accessories are a Perfect Wedding Gift?

The kitchen is the most important room in the house and comes first in most peoples list of priorities when choosing a wedding gift. The kitchen used to be a purely functional, tucked-away utilitarian room where the wife prepared the family meals each day and served them in a separate dining room (sometimes through a special serving hatch). Nowadays most people desire a large open plan kitchen dining room fully equipped with comfy sofa, TV, perhaps a play area for small children and doors opening onto the garden. Why are kitchen accessories popular wedding gifts?

Once a couple have achieved the kitchen of their dreams the next job is to accessorise it. There are so many different kitchen accessories on the market now from slick, stainless steel to modern retro. Some people like everything to match and look good – to tie in with the design of their kitchen. Others are purists who need each utensil and gadget to have a function. My grandmother’s kitchen utensils consisted of a potato masher, a tea strainer, a mincer to fix to the tabletop (perfect for rissoles), a selection of Pyrex and the piece-de-resistance, the runner-bean slicer.Going back to basics

With the trend for later marriages many couples now already have their own fully-equipped homes. When they do get married their wedding-list is an opportunity for them to upgrade their kitchens and acquire their most- desired kitchen items. Therefore, beautiful glass, stainless steel cutlery, French cast iron casseroles, wooden chopping boards, copper pans and state of the art toasters can be original gifts for the couple that has everything. You may even choose a retro-style digital radio to co-ordinate perfectly with your kitchen units. The cosy feel of days gone by with a thoroughly modern function.Modern Utensils as an option

Low-price, high-impact presents

From the SF Gate:

I co-hosted a baby shower yesterday for one of my dearest friends, and a gift from her mother-in-law had the room all verklempt.

Inside a box: a onesie that the father-to-be had worn, a photo of him in the outfit at six months, and a note explaining the onesie’s history. When my friend’s baby is born, she’ll have the opportunity to create a new tradition — dressing the baby in his father’s outfit and snapping a photo.

On a somewhat related note, a few years ago, my mother gave me one of my favorite presents of all time: a simple frame with my paternal grandparents’ wedding photo on one side, my maternal grandparents’ wedding photo on the other, and my parents’ wedding photo in the middle.

The opportunity to introduce or extend a little family history is one of those low- or no-cost gifts that goes a long way with the recipient.

50TH ANNIVERSARY GIFT IDEAS

A 50th anniversary gift commemorates a milestone most married couples wish to reach. What can you possibly give a couple after 50 years of marriage? The most meaningful wedding anniversary gift is one that comes from the heart: to express your love and appreciation towards all that they mean to you, how their staying married through the thick and thin of life has influenced you, to tell about the warm and loving memories you shared with them throughout the years.

The 50th anniversary is commemorated by gold and the flower is violet. A gift certainly doesn’t have to be gold, wrap a gift in gold paper or paper decorated with violets.

50th anniversary gift ideas for the couple

* Keepsake personalized anniversary gifts, such as a photo quilt or pillow

* Monthly or quarterly lo-carb, dietetic or fruit gift baskets

* Restore their wedding photo and place in a gold frame

* Have a painting or caricature made out of their wedding photo

* As they probably don’t cook for themselves as much, gift certificates to restaurants would be appreciated

* A gift of theater or concert subscription tickets. Make them a patron with VIP privileges

* The children can create a 50th anniversary keepsake journal gift. Ask family and friends to write a paragraph or two to share a memory with their parents. Or ask for a photo with the couple that the children don’t have and write a caption about it

* Instead of a guest book, buy a music box and fill it with messages of love written on gold or handmade paper from family and friends
